My artistic expression is influenced by the desire to fully understand the impact made by childhood trauma on us later in life and that of transgenerational trauma, trauma that is transferred from one generation to the next via complex post-traumatic stress disorder mechanisms.
Currently I am working on a photography project on living with cancer.
I first graduated from Western Sydney University where I studied a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Computing and Information Systems, and then from the Australian Centre for Photography where I studied Camera Craft and Lighting. My photography has been exhibited in Sydney art galleries and I was a finalist with a self-portrait in the Marrickville Contemporary Art Prize in 2008.
I do photography not because I have to, but because I love to.
